Government of Canada E-Petition Signature Deadline

The deadline to sign the E-Petition is November 10th.  Please sign and share ASAP!

The link to sign the petition is here:

Celiac Canada is asking for your support to sign an e-petition calling upon the Government of Canada to provide tax relief to Canadians with Celiac disease by amending the Income Tax Act, in the form of an annual $1,000 refundable tax credit, together with a waiver of any requirement to retain receipt.

People with celiac disease require a strict, medically required gluten-free diet to control their autoimmune disease. Gluten-free products are up to 300% more expensive than traditional food with gluten. This creates a large economic burden on our community. There is no cure or other prescription treatments for celiac disease to replace this therapy.

For more information on this issue, please visit https://www.celiac.ca/tax-fairness-and-affordability/

PLEASE share this petition with friends, family and anyone who would be willing to support the effort to have the fairness of the Canadian tax code updated.
